Bring a touch of slow, deliberate living into your home with the T-Lab Polepole Standing Polar Bear. Named after the Swahili phrase "polepole" (pronounced poh-leh poh-leh), which means "slowly, slowly", this figurine perfectly reflects the mindful, slow-crafted artistry behind every piece. Designed by T-Lab in Japan, this proud standing polar bear features a heartwarming, gentle expression that adds a minimalist, contemporary charm to curated shelves, modern nurseries, and adult interior spaces.
Every single polar bear is completely one-of-a-kind. Highly skilled master artisans in Bali hand-carve each figurine from solid, sustainably sourced Albizia Falcata wood, specifically chosen for its incredibly lightweight feel and exceptionally smooth texture. The wood is meticulously hand-sanded multiple times to achieve an ultra-soft, unvarnished touch, before being delicately detailed by hand using safe, plant-based paints.
Because no two animals are exactly identical, your polar bear will have its own unique posture and personality. It makes a beautiful collector's item or a thoughtful gift for design enthusiasts who appreciate slow-made, authentic craftsmanship.
