In the summer of 2001, Ineke Hans created a children's collection, BLACK BEAUTIES. All items in this collection are made from recycled plastics that are resistant to water, wind, sea air, and UV rays.
Ineke Hans's decision to create a children's collection using black material stemmed from a simple observation about shapes and colors.
With BLACK BEAUTIES, Ineke Hans demonstrates that children react not only to colors, but also very often to shape. Ineke Hans therefore decided to simply eliminate color in favor of a clean, minimalist design, strongly linked to an innovative and eco-friendly material.
